Seeking a Payroll Manager to lead and scale payroll operations, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely processing for all employees. Responsibilities include managing full-cycle payroll, overseeing bi-weekly processing, reviewing payroll inputs, serving as a subject matter expert on regulations, managing visa-related payroll, and handling incentive/equity compensation. Requires 6+ years of hands-on payroll experience, strong knowledge of payroll regulations, and experience with complex multi-state payrolls and equity compensation.

What you'd actually do

  1. Administer full-cycle payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
  2. Oversee timely and accurate bi-weekly payroll processing, ensuring all deadlines are consistently met.
  3. Review and validate payroll inputs - including compensation changes, bonuses, commissions, benefits, and leave - and ensure accurate calculations across pay cycles.
  4. Serve as the payroll subject matter expert, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of tax regulations, and labor laws across all relevant U.S. jurisdictions.
  5. Manage payroll requirements for employees on work visas, including identifying exemption eligibility (e.g., FICA exemptions) and coordinating necessary documentation.
