Payroll Manager - Emea

Samsara Samsara · Enterprise · London, United Kingdom · Payroll and Equity

This role is for a Payroll Manager in the EMEA region. The primary responsibilities include overseeing end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations, managing vendor relationships, and driving process improvements. The role also involves partnering with HR, Finance, and Legal departments, and leading a payroll team. While the role mentions leveraging AI tools for efficiency, the core function is payroll management, not AI/ML development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Review and validate payroll workbooks prepared by payroll analysts, ensuring payrolls are processed in compliance with local regulations and internal policies — while continuously leveraging AI tools to drive efficiency and optimization.
  2. Serve as the subject matter expert on legislative changes across all jurisdictions, providing timely guidance to the business and supporting expansion into new territories.
  3. Act as a cross-functional partner across the organization, collaborating with Benefits on new program implementations, HR Operations on process improvements, Equity on stock-based compensation matters, Treasury on payment processing, and Controllership on journal entries and statutory audits.
  4. Own the relationship with our payroll vendor, CloudPay, actively monitoring performance and influencing outcomes to ensure service excellence and continuous improvement.
  5. Hire, develop and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high performing team.
