Payroll Supervisor

This role is a Payroll Supervisor at Johnson & Johnson, focusing on ensuring the timeliness, accuracy, and compliance of payroll and time management operations. What you'd actually do

  1. Ensure payroll-related data from Company internal applications interfaces into the payroll system before payroll deadline.
  2. Manage process of accounting, payments, Time & Attendance, Long Term incentives, as part of Payroll.
  3. Perform stakeholder management, promote and sustain strong partnerships. Interact with the different areas of business to identify needs and turn into solutions. Being a key partner and advisor.
  4. Leading process reviews, continuously looking – and turning into actions - improvements opportunities to leverage overall efficiency, effectiveness and employee experience.
  5. Serve as a Payroll lead for the different phases of the project like testing, data management, process documentation etc.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 6 years of prior experience in Payroll or HR
  • Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role
  • Strong Knowledge of payroll US processing (processes, regulations, vendor landscape, etc.)
  • Strong English language verbal and written communication skills
  • Research and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to think strategically, make recommendations to leadership, and in some cases, serve as the decision-maker for payroll administration topics
  • Cultural awareness and an ability to work with a multitude of people across multiple markets assigned.

Nice to have

  • Payroll certification is preferred (e.g. CPP, FPC)
  • Workday, SAP, Kronos, ServiceNow or equivalent ticketing system; ERP/HRIS tools; reporting dashboards.
  • Prior experience with payroll processes as well as month end, quarter end or year end
