This role is for a PC Network Support Technician 2 at Northrop Grumman, requiring a Secret clearance. Responsibilities include managing support tickets, relocating and installing/configuring workstations, basic diagnostics, resolving technical issues for internal customers, managing user accounts in Active Directory, assisting with security paperwork for classified data, maintaining inventory records, and lifting equipment. Requires a High School diploma and 2 years of experience or an Associate's degree, a Security+ certification or higher, and a current US Government Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance and access to Special Programs.

What you'd actually do

  1. Creates and manages tickets for all support incidents, reviewing trouble ticket queue, ensuring timely updates, accurate documentation, and compliance to resolve tickets within established guidelines.
  2. Performs relocation of workstations and associated equipment for individual users or teams between campus buildings, installing and configuring equipment so operations resume with minimal disruption.
  3. Resolves technical problems and answers queries by telephone, in support of internal and/or outside customer computer hardware, software, network, and telecommunications systems.
  4. Uses Active Directory or similar tools to create and unlock user/computer account, perform password resets, following all security policies and procedures
  5. Assist with paperwork and tasks to meet security requirements, adhering to all security regulations for installing, maintaining, and retiring PCs as related to hardware/software, and collaborates with Security to resolve classified data spillage incidents.
