Northrop Grumman is seeking a PC Network Support Technician 2 for a third shift position in Clearfield, UT. The role involves providing technical support for computer hardware, software, and networks, managing tickets, performing equipment relocation, and adhering to security regulations. A Secret clearance is required, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Creates and manages tickets for all support incidents, reviewing trouble ticket queue, ensuring timely updates, accurate documentation, and compliance to resolve tickets within established guidelines.
  2. Performs relocation of workstations and associated equipment for individual users or teams between campus buildings, installing and configuring equipment so operations resume with minimal disruption.
  3. Resolves technical problems and answers queries by telephone, in support of internal and/or outside customer computer hardware, software, network, and telecommunications systems.
  4. Uses Active Directory or similar tools to create and unlock user/computer account, perform password resets, following all security policies and procedures
  5. Assist with paperwork and tasks to meet security requirements, adhering to all security regulations for installing, maintaining, and retiring PCs as related to hardware/software, and collaborates with Security to resolve classified data spillage incidents.

Skills

Required

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) and 2 years of relevant experience OR Associate’s degree and 0 years of relevant experience
  • Current US Government Secret level security clearance
  • Ability to obtain, and maintain, a DOD Top Secret level security clearance
  • Ability to obtain, and maintain, access to Special Programs
  • Active Security+ CE certification or higher
  • Experience in Microsoft Windows Desktop Operating Systems
  • Microsoft Office Product Suites
  • Remote deployment methods

Nice to have

  • Associate’s degree
  • 1 years of experience with IT related hardware in a classified environment
  • Active Top Secret, TS/SCI, SAP/SAR access, or Polygraph
  • Proficiency in remote administration and troubleshooting of desktop PCs
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, creating user and computer accounts
  • Operating System Cross-platform awareness ((i.e. two or more: Windows, Linux, Solaris, OSX, UNIX, etc.)
  • Knowledge of supporting a VMWare VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure)
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems (ServiceNow)
