Pdk Development Technical Manager

Intel Intel · Semiconductors · Penang, Malaysia

Manager for a team developing and validating Process Design Kits (PDKs) for Intel's semiconductor manufacturing. Responsibilities include leading development, QA, regression testing, root cause analysis, and team management. Requires expertise in PDK development, verification tools (ICV-PXL, Calibre-SVRF, Pegasus), and custom/back-end flows.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead and manage a team focused on the development and QA of PDK collateral, including design rules verification, parasitic extraction, fill algorithms, PERC ESD checks, and reliability verification across multiple process nodes and EDA tools.
  2. Drive the creation and execution of regression testcases and test suites to validate PDK functionality, automate regression runs, debug failures to address issues prior to release.
  3. Conduct root cause analysis of design challenges tied to specific process technologies and spearhead initiatives to enhance design methodologies for high-quality solutions.
  4. Build bridges across manufacturing process engineering, high-volume production teams, and design groups to ensure smooth integration of PDKs while maintaining cost efficiency.
  5. Set clear goals, monitor progress, and ensure accountability for technical and project deliverables within your team.
