People & Culture Advisor

This role is for a People & Culture Advisor on a 12-month fixed-term contract at The Walt Disney Company in London. The advisor will provide HR support to UK-based employees and managers, covering the full employee lifecycle, managing HR administration, and assisting with annual HR processes and projects. The role requires experience in HR advisory, attention to detail, and knowledge of HR principles and regulations.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provide an HR advisory service and admin support to Employees and Managers within Disney Experiences and Legal Corporate, on all matters relating to the employee lifecycle including recruitment, Remote Work, Learning & Development, on-boarding, off-boarding and performance management approaches.
  2. Responsible for maintaining the accuracy of headcount requests, internal systems and liaison point for the Compensation team.
  3. Take full ownership for maintaining and updating organisation structure charts for the areas they support in EMEA.
  4. Headcount reconciliation: accurately update & maintain headcount reports to track employee numbers, requisition IDs, turnover and backfill reconciliation, and workforce data in general.
  5. Provide an interface with our Global HR Operations team on administrative areas such as contracts, letters, employee changes on any relevant systems.

Skills

Required

  • Experience from within a HR Advisory role
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data management and reporting
  • Understanding of HR principles, practices, and regulations
  • Ability to cope with people in emotive situations
  • Able to work somewhat autonomously, with sound logic & judgement
  • Able to multi-task and prioritise workloads given by multiple business partners
  • Time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • IT savvy across core business applications and remote working tools (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Slack, Zoom)

Nice to have

  • Experience gained within a US multi-national or similar matrixed organisation
  • Specific EMEA experience would be highly advantageous
  • CIPD (or equivalent qualification) or working towards qualification
