People Legal Specialist

This role is for an experienced People Legal Specialist to join Anthropic's legal team. The specialist will be the operational backbone for the team, advising on interactions with employees, candidates, and contingent workers globally. Responsibilities include managing claims, inquiries, and agency matters, acting as a liaison between legal and partner teams, maintaining records, handling personnel document requests, supporting attorneys with research and document preparation, and identifying process improvements. The role requires strong project management, communication, and discretion, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach to building processes. Experience in legal operations or a paralegal role in a corporate legal department is required, with a preference for experience in high-growth tech companies and familiarity with legal project management software and legal research databases. Comfort experimenting with AI tools is a plus.

What you'd actually do

  1. Monitor incoming claims, demands, and agency inquiries to ensure Anthropic responds in a timely and appropriate manner; maintain matter-tracking systems and keep stakeholders informed of status
  2. Act as the primary operational link between People Legal and partner teams to ensure context-rich handoffs and integrated, efficient delivery of legal support
  3. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to legal matters, including managing case files and calendars
  4. Handle personnel document requests, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and timely responses to requests
  5. Support attorneys with legal research, document preparation, and template management; help distill work product into clear, actionable formats for internal stakeholders
