People Strategy & Programs Lead

This role is for a People Strategy & Programs Lead at Nuro, a self-driving technology company. The role focuses on driving high-priority initiatives across the People organization, including HR, Talent Management, L&D, Recruiting, People Operations, and Systems. The individual will build analytical foundations, shape recruiting strategy, and help implement AI-augmented workflows. The role requires strong data fluency, program management skills, and an AI-native approach to work, with experience applying AI tools.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own high-priority, cross-functional People initiatives end-to-end, from problem definition through execution
  2. Build the analytical foundation for the People team, including data models, dashboards, and exec-level reporting
  3. Partner directly with the VP of People and the People Leadership Team, on strategy, planning, and execution
  4. Identify gaps across People Systems, Recruiting, and People Operations, and drive solutions to close them
  5. Help shape recruiting strategy and build more efficient, AI-augmented workflows across the function

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in consulting, strategy, or a high-execution role in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong data fluency with the ability to work directly with data, build models, and translate insights into decisions
  • Proven program management skills, with experience driving complex, cross-functional initiatives end-to-end
  • An AI-native approach to work, with practical experience applying AI tools to improve output and speed
  • A business-first mindset with a focus on performance, efficiency, and talent quality
  • Exceptional written communication skills, especially for executive audiences
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels without losing momentum

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with People Systems (HRIS i.e. Workday, ATS i.e. GreeHouse) and how they function and report data
  • Experience building or scaling AI-enabled workflows in recruiting or People Operations
  • Exposure to executive or board-level reporting
  • MBA or other advanced degree
