Allstate is seeking a Paralegal Specialist for their Personal Injury Protection (PIP) / No Fault Litigation team. The role involves supporting complex insurance disputes, managing discovery, drafting pleadings, e-filing, and ensuring procedural compliance within New York State No Fault matters. The position requires collaboration with attorneys and other paralegals, utilizing litigation technology and case management systems.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage New York State PIP / No‑Fault litigation and arbitration files from inception through resolution
  2. Draft, file, and manage pleadings and high-volume discovery, including demands, responses, and objections specific to no‑fault litigation
  3. Coordinate and track discovery deadlines, verification requests, compliance, and follow-up
  4. Order, organize, and maintain claim files, medical records, billing, assignments of benefits, and policy documentation
  5. Assist with expert discovery and medical provider matters, including record exchanges and scheduling of independent medical examinations (IMEs) when applicable

Skills

Required

  • Minimum qualifications for paralegals as defined by New York law
  • Strong working knowledge of New York No‑Fault litigation and arbitration procedures
  • Tech savvy, with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams) and litigation or case management systems
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active cases and deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have

  • Experience as a Paralegal supporting New York State PIP / No‑Fault, insurance litigation, or civil litigation
  • Demonstrated experience handling heavy discovery workloads and frequent e-filing in a fast-paced legal environment
