This role is for an Experienced Industrial Engineer at Boeing's Phantom Works team in Berkeley, MO. The engineer will optimize products, processes, and services by designing plant layouts, capacity plans, and workflows, and evaluating new technologies. Responsibilities include integrating design, supply base, facilities, equipment, and personnel into production systems, conducting workflow analysis, developing data analysis models, and preparing operations plans. What you'd actually do

  1. Design, maintain, and optimize production systems by integrating design, supply base, facilities, equipment, and personnel.
  2. Conduct workflow design and analysis to enhance operational efficiency and improve quality.
  3. Develop models, databases, and spreadsheets to analyze data, providing summary analysis and metrics for leadership consultation.
  4. Research, design, and implement processes and tools to enhance schedule performance, reduce costs, and improve quality.
  5. Standardize assembly practices.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 5+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelors Degree OR an equivalent combination of work-related experience and technical education.
  • Experience working with composites materials and processes
  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance

Nice to have

  • Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering or similar course of study
  • Experience supporting stabilization and improvement efforts in a manufacturing setting
  • Experience supporting defense and/or aerospace customers
  • Experience working closely with manufacturing assembly line technicians – helping support their efforts
