Structural Analysis Engineer for advanced aircraft development programs at Boeing Defense, Space & Security. Responsibilities include developing structural requirements, guiding product design, verifying structural integrity using analytical methods and finite element models, coordinating with other engineering groups, developing test plans, and defining certification results. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, 5+ years of experience, and a U.S. Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI and SAP.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop, integrate and document structural requirements to establish the system design
  2. Guide product design and verifies structural integrity by using and developing analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance
  3. Coordinate with other engineering groups to establish the product’s environment
  4. Develop test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
  5. Define and document certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
  • 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (Level 3)
  • 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (Level 4)
  • Experience with Finite Element Modeling (FEM) tools (NASTRAN, PATRAN)
  • Experience with aerospace stress analysis and/or structural analysis
