What you'd actually do

  1. Lead while partnering with USD engineers and collaborators to ensure continued improvements and features benefiting onboard, development, and integration of OpenUSD.
  2. Drive adoption of OpenUSD and SimReady for physical AI by outlining CoE requirements and guidelines. Develop thought leadership and case studies related to key events. Assess asset-based workflow performance and value for release channels.
  3. Own the launch and ongoing refinement of OpenUSD developer certifications, university teaching programs and high impact industry events.

Skills

Required

  • BS Degree in Computer Science or Engineering related field or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience in technical marketing, designing or engineering of USD scenes, or a related technical field with a focus on USD development use and evangelism.
  • Regular use of AI for coding and for productivity, with demonstrated ability to evaluate and adopt new AI tools in technical workflows.
  • Strong communication and collaborator leadership skills in matrixed, multi-functional environments.
  • Develop and improve technical content for corporate and software developer communities previously.

Nice to have

  • Direct, hands-on work with OpenUSD, Omniverse, or Isaac Sim pipelines in production, with examples of overcoming adoption challenges or defining standard methodologies.
  • Expertise in robotics simulation, industrial digital twins, manufacturing, or automotive—especially communicating with those industry audiences.
  • Active contributions to AOUSD, USD projects, or standards—demonstrated by advancing adoption or documentation.
  • Proven technical evangelism (e.g., APIs, cloud, dev tools), with successful programs or content that increased adoption.
  • Experience creating or launching developer certifications or technical curricula in 3D, simulation, or graphics.
  • Solving of complex CI/CD, code, and asset pipeline issues.
