This role focuses on the physical design of ASICs for machine learning accelerators in data centers, contributing to the hardware that powers Google's AI and cloud infrastructure. The role involves managing complex SoC designs from conception to tape-out, collaborating with various engineering teams to ensure optimal performance, power, and area.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage Physical design of complex System on a Chip (SoC) to Tape out while working with multiple team members.
  2. Manage block and physical implementation and Quality of Results (QoR) (e.g., power, timing, area).
  3. Collaborate with Register-Transfer Level (RTL) design, cross-site Physical Design, and CAD teams on micro architectural critical items for timing and power convergence
