Planning Program Manager, Ultrafast Delivery

Amazon Amazon · Big Tech · 13, Japan +1 · Project/Program/Product Management--Non-Tech

This role is for a Program Manager focused on architecting the future of Amazon's ultra-fast delivery network. It involves strategic roadmap ownership, launch planning, optimizing operations (UTR/OTR), and channel strategies to balance speed and cost-efficiency. The role acts as a bridge between business strategy and operational reality, leveraging AI and GenAI tools to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include capacity and resource planning, channel and delivery strategy development, defining requirements for next-generation planning tools (like automated routing and AI-driven inventory placement), and owning the 'Cost-to-Serve' roadmap through structural improvements.

  1. Capacity & Resource Planning Strategy: Lead long-term labor and throughput planning ensuring the network can handle growth.
  2. Channel & Delivery Strategy: Develop and refine channel distribution strategies between dedicated fleets and 3P partners to ensure "On-the-Road" (OTR) scalability during peak surges.
  3. Strategic Feature Roadmap: Partner with Tech and Product teams to define the requirements for next-generation planning tools, such as automated routing systems and AI-driven inventory placement.
  4. Own the "Cost-to-Serve" roadmap. Identify long-term structural improvements that drive down the cost per shipment through better topology and density.
