Platform Power Thermal Performance Intern

Intel Intel · Semiconductors · Shanghai, China

Intern role focused on Xeon IO performance engineering, involving validation, analysis of KPIs, debugging, and optimization of networks for Intel's AI performance across diverse product segments. Responsibilities include executing performance validation, identifying bottlenecks, supporting customer co-validation, and mitigating single-point-of-failure risks in I/O domains.

What you'd actually do

  1. Execute I/O performance validation and analyze KPIs (throughput, IOPS, latency, tail latency) and identify performance gaps across silicon/firmware/OS/driver/application layers.
  2. Drive debugging with hypothesis-based analysis, propose optimization ideas, and help evaluate improvements using controlled experiments.
  3. Identify the IO performance bottleneck and opportunities to improve IO performance per product segment.
  4. Support local product I/O performance development and validation efforts, including platform-level I/O performance validation for programs such as Gem Mountain.
  5. Assist in China CSP customer I/O performance co-validation and contribute to performance issue closure from the PTP perspective.
