Product Manager for Point-of-Sale (POS) Payments solutions targeting Small and Medium-sized Businesses (SMBs). This role involves owning the complete product lifecycle from concept to launch and optimization, focusing on hardware and software solutions. Responsibilities include developing product strategy and vision, managing discovery and market research, maintaining the product backlog, tracking key success metrics, and communicating the product vision to stakeholders. Requires 5+ years of product management experience with a focus on POS products for SMBs, including hardware certification with card brands and payment solutions. Experience with AI tools is preferred but not required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develops a product strategy and product vision that delivers value to customers related to point-of-sale solutions to support SMBs
  2. Drives the development and launch of innovative hardware and software solutions tailored to the evolving needs of SMBs across North America
  3. Manages discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap
  4. Owns, maintains, and develops a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition
  5. Builds the framework and tracks the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability
  6. Develops and communicates a compelling product vision, effectively engaging with executive stakeholders through the new product development process

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area having worked on or launched at least one point-of-sale product for SMBs
  • Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics having direct experience with hardware certification with card brands and payment solutions
  • Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
  • Proven track record of driving product adoption and growth for point-of-sale hardware and software solutions
  • Possesses in-depth knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices for hardware and software solutions, serving both B2B and B2C customers across North America.

  • Demonstrated experience working with AI tools such as natural language processing platforms, data analytics solutions, and automation software.
