Porter - Night Shift

This role is for a porter at xAI, a company focused on AI. The porter will interact with guests and staff in the private restaurant, assist with restocking supplies, and perform other duties assigned by kitchen management. Responsibilities include demonstrating sanitation and food safety practices, evaluating receiving spaces for safety, completing tasks accurately, following safety standards, coordinating job duties, putting away food orders, and maintaining basic knowledge of restaurant equipment. Basic qualifications include a high school diploma and 1+ year of restaurant, warehouse, or customer service experience. Preferred skills include restaurant or porter experience, inventory experience, a food handler's card, and the ability to work well with others and be self-driven. Additional requirements include availability for the specified shift, ability to lift heavy items, stand for long periods, and willingness to work all shifts and overtime. The role also has ITAR requirements.

What you'd actually do

  1. Demonstrate sanitation and food safety practices consistently
  2. Help evaluate receiving spaces to ensure a safe and secure environment
  3. Complete daily, weekly, and monthly tasks in a timely and accurate manner
  4. Follow company safety standards and look out for the safety of other team members and guests
  5. Coordinate job duties around other team members to help ensure efficient preparation for the opening of service

Skills

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 1+ year of either restaurant experience, warehouse experience, and/or customer service experience
  • Available to work the following shift: 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday: 11AM – 930PM
  • Ability to carry large, heavy items unassisted (up to 25 lbs.)
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 8-10 hours a day)
  • Willingness to work all shifts and available for overtime and weekends as needed
  • Frequent bending, stooping, and lifting of objects
  • U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, Refugee, or Asylee
