Portfolio Leader (builder People Lead)

Salesforce is seeking a Portfolio Leader to manage and grow a team of technical AI specialists deploying Agentforce solutions in customer environments. This role requires a builder mindset and involves leading a blended delivery team of Forward Deployed Engineers and Deployment Strategists. The leader will set engineering standards, unblock customer deployments, scale talent, and influence product roadmaps by providing field insights. Responsibilities include capacity planning, talent acquisition, fostering an engineering culture, mentoring, driving technical excellence, acting as a final technical escalation point, guiding enterprise implementations, and ensuring customer adoption and business impact.

What you'd actually do

  1. Scale Elite Talent: Recruit, mentor, and develop the next wave of Technical and Strategic Builders. Drive technical excellence, structure career growth, and foster an environment where shipping high-quality, production-ready systems is the norm.
  2. Maintain Operational Velocity: Monitor key delivery metrics, coach your teams on optimization, and run hard on complex customer escalations. You ensure your teams move from sketch to deployable in weeks, not months.
  3. Ultimate Technical Authority: Serve as the final technical escalation point for your portfolio. Maintain deep architectural judgment across the Salesforce platform, advanced LLM techniques, data pipelines, and agentic orchestration.
  4. Guide Enterprise Implementations: Unblock complex data readiness, tool integration, and multi-agent orchestration challenges. Step in directly to help your teams assess customer technical readiness, remove deployment barriers, and codify standardized, repeatable delivery methodologies.
  5. Drive Agentic Adoption: Build and anchor strong executive-level relationships within your customer portfolio, ensuring flawless Agentforce activation, rollout, and sustained production value.

Skills

Required

  • 4+ years of direct people management or high-impact technical leadership
  • Deep architectural understanding of AI, LLMs, and the Salesforce ecosystem
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise software implementation, data modeling, API integration, and AI deployments
  • Direct, hands-on experience architecting or deploying Salesforce Data Cloud and the Agentforce platform
