Portfolio Success Manager I

This role is a Portfolio Success Manager at Zendesk, focused on ensuring Japanese and global clients maximize value from the Zendesk platform. It involves customer engagement, strategic discovery, driving product adoption, facilitating scaled success through webinars and content, cross-functional collaboration, and proactive risk management using data. The role requires strong communication, a customer-first mindset, agility, and data-driven decision-making.

What you'd actually do

  1. Serve as the trusted advisor for a large cohort of customers, ranging from local Japanese startups to established Enterprise organizations.
  2. Conduct comprehensive discovery sessions to understand unique Japanese business requirements and provide tailored expert recommendations.
  3. Drive product adoption and optimization, ensuring customers achieve their specific KPIs and business outcomes through the Zendesk platform.
  4. Facilitate webinars and online events in Japanese, sharing best practices and fostering a community of power users.
  5. Produce localized video content and email campaigns that simplify complex technical concepts for the local market.

Skills

Required

  • 1+ years of experience in Customer Success, Account Management, Sales, or a high-level Customer Support role.
  • Native-level fluency in Japanese (JLPT N1 equivalent)
  • Business-level English (ability to participate in global meetings and read technical documentation).
  • Proven ability to identify business objectives and map them to technical solutions.

Nice to have

  • Experience in the SaaS or Software industry within the Japanese market.
  • Familiarity with the Zendesk platform or similar CX/CRM technologies.
  • Experience managing a high volume of accounts (Scaled/One-to-Many model).
