What you'd actually do

  1. Provide technical leadership in developing rodent models, including models generated through survival surgeries, to support projects.
  2. Execute in vivo studies to test the therapeutic potential of peptides, antibodies, and proteins, including application of histology and imaging technologies.
  3. Perform mammalian cell culture and cell-based assays, as well as noncell-based in vitro assays.
  4. Analyze data (including statistical analysis and graphing) and propose follow-up plans. Participate in internal and external team meetings and deliver oral and written presentations of data.
  5. Actively interact with internal and external collaborators to accelerate progress and deliver key in vivo and in vitro data.

Skills

Required

  • Ph.D. in Biology
  • Proficiency in conducting in vivo studies
  • Experience on small animal surgery and animal model development
  • Familiarity with cell-based assays
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Nice to have

  • Ph.D. completed
  • Experience with wound healing, tendon, or ligament repair models
  • Experience with brain sectioning
  • Experience with fluorescence microscopy and/or high-content imaging
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical/problem-solving skills
