Post-silicon Validation and Debug Engineer

Intel Intel · Semiconductors · Oregon, Hillsboro, United States +1

This role focuses on post-silicon validation and debug engineering for Intel's System-on-Chip (SoC) products, ensuring seamless performance by working at the intersection of hardware, firmware, and software. Responsibilities include performing low-level debug, developing validation plans, implementing debug techniques, conducting root cause analysis, and collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams.

What you'd actually do

  1. Perform low-level and complex debug across multiple systems, subsystems, or SoC levels for Intel products.
  2. Develop validation plans and execute tests for multiple domain- and system-level features/flows in the SoC.
  3. Develop and implement techniques for faster SoC and platform-level debug while isolating failing system components.
  4. Utilize design-for-debug (DFD) tools and scripts to continuously improve debug discipline.
  5. Conduct root cause analysis, resolve triage failures and marginality issues, and track SoC debug progress.
