Postdoctoral Research Scientist - Neurodegeneration

Eli Lilly Eli Lilly · Pharma · Indianapolis, IN

Postdoctoral Research Scientist position focused on translational research in Alzheimer's disease, investigating mechanisms of amyloid immunotherapy-related microhemorrhage using in vivo two-photon imaging. Requires PhD, experience in in vivo dosing, stereotactic surgery, two-photon imaging, and image analysis. Background in neurodegeneration or neurovascular biology is preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. Investigate the molecular and cellular processes underlying amyloid immunotherapy-induced microhemorrhage using advanced in vivo two-photon imaging techniques in real time
  2. Evaluate the neuroinflammatory roles of central and peripheral immune cells in amyloid immunotherapy induced microhemorrhage pathogenesis
  3. Explore novel mechanisms that may contribute to toxicity risks associated with amyloid immunotherapy
  4. Collaborate with scientists across neuroscience and other functional areas in a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment
  5. Present findings at national and international conferences and publish in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals

Skills

Required

  • PhD in Neuroscience or other related field

  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Nice to have

  • Background in neurodegeneration and/or neurovascular biology research
  • Prior working experience with Alzheimer’s disease or other neurodegenerative mouse models
