Shield AI is seeking a Power Electronics Electrical Engineer II to design, analyze, and validate power electronics systems for their next-generation aircraft, XBAT. This role involves full-cycle hardware development from concept to flight, including PCB design, testing, and cross-functional collaboration within an aerospace context.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design of HV and LV systems including:
  2. Engineer solutions from <1 kW low-power systems to >10 kW high-power applications
  3. Own the entire flow — concept, modeling, worst case analysis, schematic capture, simulation, prototyping, design reiteration for improving design maturity, testing and validation
  4. Drive PCB layout and design with ECAD engineers, optimizing for power density, EMI, thermal, and manufacturability
  5. Design robust systems keeping in mind best practices for safety, manufacturing and reliability

Skills

Required

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer
