Power Systems Architect

Oracle Oracle · Enterprise · United States

This role is for a Power Systems Architect at Oracle, focusing on the end-to-end architectural vision, systems strategy, and technical standards for electrical power delivery in data centers. It involves high-voltage transmission, substations, interconnection, and site power integration, operating at a principal architect/VP-equivalent individual contributor level. The role sets technical and compliance direction, oversees execution, and ensures performance, resiliency, and cost efficiency without direct people management.

What you'd actually do

  1. Define, document, and continually refine system-level architectures governing grid interconnection, substations (AIS/GIS), generation, BESS, and power delivery to mission critical facilities.
  2. Serve as the principal technical interface with utilities, RTOs/ISOs, and regulatory bodies for all interconnection and compliance matters.
  3. Define and enforce power quality, resiliency, reliability and redundancy standards (N/2N/N+1) across the program.
  4. Provide expert guidance from conceptual design through commissioning, ensuring technical excellence and code compliance.
  5. Collaborate with engineering, construction, commissioning, and operations teams to ensure system deliverability, maintainability, and lifecycle cost efficiency.
