Practice Director, Generative Ai, Google Cloud

Google Google · Big Tech · Sunnyvale, CA +3

This role is a Practice Director for Generative AI within Google Cloud, focusing on setting and executing the Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy. The individual will drive business generation goals, collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams, and manage the portfolio of GenAI solutions to fuel sales growth. Responsibilities include defining strategy, monitoring execution, showcasing thought leadership, addressing market opportunities, managing blockers to AI maturity, and partnering with engineering and sales for pipeline health and business reporting. The role requires experience in enterprise technology sales, GTM strategy, and Generative AI portfolios, with a focus on translating technical AI capabilities into business value.

What you'd actually do

  1. Partner with Product general managers as the Global Sales point of contact. Serve as the primary interlock between Product, Engineering, and Regional Sales teams, ensuring alignment on the Global Solutions Portfolio Management process for the broader AI suite.
  2. Provide visibility and insights into product performance through scorecard metrics. Own pipeline creation and progression metrics, revenue forecasting, consumption model updates, win/loss analysis, and annual planning.
  3. Connect regional execution to global strategy by designing, staffing, and supporting major business plays. Ensure regional sales teams have the latest portfolio updates and competitive intelligence.
  4. Share best practices and insights across regional sales leadership. Act as a critical feedback loop, transforming real-world field insights, data readiness issues, and state-management challenges into Google Cloud’s future AI product roadmap.
