Chewy Vet Care is seeking a Practice Manager to oversee operations, staff, and client relations in their new veterinary practices. The role involves supporting staff, managing operational functions, coordinating schedules, mentoring team members, managing inventory, engaging with clients, ensuring equipment maintenance, guiding adherence to SOPs, and acting as a PIMS administrative super-user. The ideal candidate has experience as a Practice Manager, leadership skills, and strong communication and conflict resolution abilities.

What you'd actually do

  1. Responsible for supporting the paraprofessional staff in implementing the outlined policies and procedures, utilizing integrated technology, and managing the practice operational functions.
  2. Work with regional and corporate leadership to provide support and continuous development for the practice team.
  3. Provide staff management with a primary responsibility of overseeing their operational performance and coordinate work schedules for the team.
  4. Demonstrate team support and care for others’ work experiences by conducting staff reviews, handling their concerns, and mentoring Team Members with their career development.
  5. Lead team coordination of inventory cycle counts and fulfill inventory needs requests.

Skills

Required

  • 3+ years of experience as a Practice Manager in practice
  • Experience mentoring and leading others.
  • Ability to connect with clients and demonstrate empathy and compassion.
  • Ability to manage conflict resolution.
  • Excellent verbal / written communication, observational, and analytical skills
  • Thrive in a fast paced, self-starter environment.

Nice to have

  • Successful completion of the CVPM program and current certification is preferred.
  • Ability to meet the qualifications for the CVPM designation.
  • 2 years of supervised experience with veterinary radiation machines preferred
