Pre-construction Manager

This role is for a Pre-Construction Manager at Crusoe, an AI infrastructure company focused on energy and data center construction. The manager will lead preconstruction efforts for large-scale AI data center projects, focusing on planning, estimating, scheduling, and procurement to ensure successful project execution. The role involves establishing Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), collaborating with various teams, and driving best practices in preconstruction workflows.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead preconstruction efforts across multiple large-scale data center or infrastructure projects
  2. Partner with design, engineering, and construction teams to define project scope, sequencing, and execution strategy
  3. Develop and manage project budgets, cost estimates, and schedules during early project phases
  4. Establish and maintain a clear Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to align scope, cost, and schedule across all phases of the project
  5. Collaborate with General Contractors and trade partners to support bidding, value engineering, and constructability reviews

Skills

Required

  • 7+ years of experience in preconstruction, project controls, construction management, or related roles
  • Experience supporting large-scale commercial, industrial, or data center construction projects
  • Strong understanding of estimating, scheduling, and project planning principles
  • Experience developing or working within Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and project coding frameworks
  • Experience working with tools such as Procore, Primavera (P6 or OPC), or similar construction management platforms
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with design, engineering, procurement, and construction teams
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with power infrastructure, mission-critical facilities, or modular construction is a plus
