Pre-sales Account Technical Lead – UK & Ireland Public Sector

This role is a Pre-Sales Account Technical Lead for the UK & Ireland Public Sector at Autodesk. The primary focus is on understanding customer needs and translating them into Autodesk solutions, acting as a trusted technical strategist. Responsibilities include delivering technical presentations, collaborating with sales, providing feedback to product teams, and developing technical content. While knowledge of Autodesk products and industry concepts is beneficial, the role is not directly involved in building or researching AI/ML models.

What you'd actually do

  1. Discover customer needs and provide Autodesk solution advice and ROI illustrations aligned to them
  2. Build trust and credibility with customers to support the development of strategic technical roadmaps
  3. Deliver technical presentations at customer-facing events, meetings and webinars
  4. Coordinate technical resources from extended teams
  5. Collaborate with sales executives to identify potential for revenue growth

Skills

Required

  • Technical knowledge of Autodesk products (AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Autodesk Forma)
  • Knowledge of Building Information Modelling and Common Data Environment/Information Management concepts (E.g. ISO 19650:2&3)
  • Experience in the UK Construction Industry (Design, Engineering, Contracting or Operations)
  • Excellent written and spoken English language skills
  • Excellent presentation and storytelling skills through a variety of mediums

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of Asset Data structures and workflows (E.g. CFIHOS, COBie)
  • Knowledge of and experience working with UK Public Sector or Utility Owner Operator industries
  • Knowledge of Enterprise IT concepts
