Precision Electromechanical Assembler 2 (1st Shift)

This role involves performing electromechanical assembly, including wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and disassembling/reworking units. It requires working from instructions and diagrams, and potentially with chemicals. Basic qualifications include a High School diploma with additional education/experience, soldering certification or experience, and communication skills. Preferred qualifications include problem-solving, manufacturing experience, and experience with circuit card assemblies.

What you'd actually do

  1. Perform wiring and component installation and hand soldering, disassembling, modifying, reworking or reassembling units using various hand and pneumatic tools.
  2. May perform mechanical assembly, cable assembly, component forming and mounting, high reliability assembly.
  3. Expected to work with various chemicals and solvents for long periods.
  4. Work from verbal or written instructions that provide detailed methods and sequence of assembly operations in addition to using wiring diagrams and assembly drawings.

Skills

Required

  • High School diploma or GED with 2 years of additional education and/or related experience
  • J-STD-001 Soldering certification or experience with soldering, especially under microscope
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work 1st shift hours (6AM - 3:30PM)
  • US Citizenship

Nice to have

  • Basic problem-solving techniques which are fully defined
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience soldering small components
  • Experience with torquing and bonding
  • Working with circuit card assemblies
