This role is for a Precision Electromechanical Assembler at Northrop Grumman, focusing on assembling precision electromechanical products like gyros and gear train mechanisms. What you'd actually do

  1. Performs a variety of operations to assemble precision electromechanical products such as gyros and gear train mechanisms.
  2. Perform wiring and component installation and hand soldering, disassembling, modifying, reworking or reassembling units using various hand and pneumatic tools.
  3. May perform mechanical assembly, cable assembly, component forming and mounting, high reliability assembly.
  4. Assembles, disassembles, repairs and reassembles precision assemblies and corrects malfunctions.
  5. Complete part marking and simple continuity checks on work in process and completed units.

Skills

Required

  • High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience; OR an Associate's degree in a related field.

Nice to have

  • Experience with techniques, approaches, guidelines, policies and procedures in the job area.
  • Experience performing assembly techniques in order to make modifications, reworks and assemblies.
