Precision Electromechanical Assembler 2 (second Shift)

This role involves performing various operations to assemble precision electromechanical products, including drilling, reaming, and using precision measuring instruments. The assembler will also work with microscopes for assembly and inspection, and may modify prototype units. A key requirement is achieving J-STD-001 certification.

What you'd actually do

  1. Performs a variety of operations to assemble precision electromechanical products.
  2. Performs tasks such as drilling, reaming, burnishing, and tapping; uses precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specified tolerance.
  3. Assembles, disassembles, repairs and reassembles precision assemblies and corrects malfunctions.
  4. May assemble and modifies prototype precision units for engineering personnel.
  5. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Skills

Required

  • High School diploma/GED with a minimum of 2 years additional education and/or related experience.
  • Experience working with a microscope.
  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Must be able to work Second Shift 3pm-1230am.
  • Able to achieve J-STD-001 certification.

Nice to have

  • Experience working in a production environment.
  • STEM Associate's degree with 0 or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with techniques, approaches, guidelines, policies and procedures in the job area.
  • Experience performing assembly techniques to make modifications, reworks and assemblies.
  • J-STD-001 solder certification or equivalent soldering skills.
  • Experience performing basic problem-solving techniques which are fully defined and available through the supervisor, coworkers and written materials.
