What you'd actually do

  1. Performs a variety of operations to assemble precision electromechanical products such as gyros and gear train mechanisms.
  2. Performs tasks such as drilling, reaming, burnishing, and tapping; uses precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specified tolerance.
  3. Assembles, disassembles, repairs and reassembles precision assemblies and corrects malfunctions.
  4. May assemble and modifies prototype precision units for engineering personnel.
  5. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Skills

Required

  • High School diploma/GED with a minimum of 2 years additional education and/or related experience.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Must be available for 2nd shift (3PM - 1:30AM).

Nice to have

  • Experience with techniques, approaches, guidelines, policies and procedures in the job area.
  • Experience performing assembly techniques to make modifications, reworks and assemblies.
  • Experience performing basic problem-solving techniques which are fully defined and available through the supervisor, coworkers and written materials.
