This role is for a Precision Electromechanical Assembler 3 on the second shift, focusing on assembling and reworking precision electromechanical products, specifically circuit cards, in the Commodities RF assembly area. Responsibilities include using precision instruments, assembling/disassembling/reworking circuit card assemblies, supporting prototype development with engineering, monitoring product quality, maintaining records, and adhering to safety and certification procedures (ESD, Solder, FOD). The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, is comfortable with microscopes and soldering tools, and has manual dexterity. Basic qualifications include a high school diploma, 4+ years of manufacturing experience, experience with electromechanical assembly, AirVac rework, solder paste, drawing interpretation, surface mount/thru-hole installation, soldering, and shop safety. A SECRET security clearance is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Perform a variety of operations to assemble/solder and rework precision electromechanical products specifically related to circuit cards.
  2. Execute tasks such as using precision measuring instruments to achieve specified tolerances.
  3. Assemble, disassemble, repair, rework, and reassemble both production and depot field returns circuit card assemblies.
  4. Support the development and modification of prototype circuit card assemblies in collaboration with engineering personnel.
  5. Monitor and verify product quality using statistical processes and other control procedures.

Skills

Required

  • High school diploma (or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in assembling products using standard electromechanical techniques with basic handheld tools
  • Experience with AirVac rework technology and machines, and solder paste operations
  • Experience with drawing interpretation, surface mount, thru hole, and leaded device install etc.
  • Experience soldering in accordance with specified workmanship standards
  • Experience with shop safety practices and procedures during assembly operations, including proper handling of hazardous materials
  • Ability to work Second Shift
  • U.S. Citizenship Required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance required

Nice to have

  • Experience performing precision assembly and soldering
  • IPC610 and JSTD-001 certified
  • Active Secret clearance
