This role is for a Preventative Maintenance Technician at Caterpillar, focusing on performing preventive maintenance and lubrication on machines and equipment in a machine shop. Responsibilities include servicing chip and coolant handling systems, assisting machine repairmen, and performing minor mechanical repairs like fixing leaks and replacing parts. Basic requirements include understanding welding, cutting, lubrication, pipefitting, and experience with industrial preventive maintenance on CNC machines, conveyors, robots, or coolant systems, along with basic electrical and print reading skills.

What you'd actually do

  1. Primary area of focus for the Preventative Maintenance Technician will be in the service level for the chip and coolant handling systems.
  2. Candidate will also provide assistance to the Machine Repairmen to accomplish various “two persons” tasks on equipment in the facility.
  3. Candidate will autonomously perform minor mechanical repairs and process duties such as unplugging sluices, replacing way wipers, piping, and elimination of air, coolant, and hydraulic leaks.
