Salesforce is seeking a Principal Solution Engineer (Pre-Sales Consultant) to present product offerings and architecture to prospects and customers, removing technical objections in the sales cycle. The role involves understanding customer needs, building customized demos, conveying deep product knowledge, and collaborating with sales teams. While the company heavily emphasizes AI and agents, this specific role is in sales and customer-facing, not directly building AI models or systems.

What you'd actually do

  1. Understand the customer’s needs, and establish Salesforce’s product as the best solution that solves our customer’s challenges.
  2. Build and present customized demos of Salesforce products.
  3. Convey deep knowledge of the customer’s technology as it pertains to Salesforce’s solutions.
  4. Participate in all appropriate product, sales, and procedural trainings and certifications to acquire and maintain the knowledge necessary to be effective in the position.
  5. Attain quarterly and annual objectives assigned by management.

Skills

Required

  • Experience in Solution Engineer/Pre-sales Engineer/Customer Success or similar role.
  • Experience in Retail Industry and Consumer Goods
  • Solid presentation and communication skills.
  • Established and experienced pre-sales professional, ideally previous experience as a Sales Engineer for a CRM/AI company or similar technology.
  • Knowledge of related applications, relational database and web technology.
  • Knowledge of cloud technology.
  • Ability to work as part of a team to solve technical problems in varied environments.
  • Ability to build impactful assets, demonstrations, prototypes.
  • Skills and track record on project delivery in a customer environment.
  • Team delivery, working with large groups in pressurized environments to deliver challenging complex proposals, solution designs and solutions.
  • Continuous learning attitude with a demonstrated history of self-enablement and advancement in both technology and behavioral areas.
  • Ability to communicate efficiently up, down and across an organization, summarizing concepts, scenarios and situations to senior internal and external individuals and teams, including positioning negative recommendations or proposals.
  • Self-management and organizational skills, able to prioritize work based on evaluation of different requirements.

Nice to have

  • Experience in AI, automation, Generative AI Strategy and LLM-based Autonomous Agents.
  • Salesforce Certifications.
  • Basic programming experience in HTML and other web based technologies.
