This role focuses on the commercial sourcing and strategic partnerships for AI cloud infrastructure, ensuring capacity, cost, and terms align with Meta's AI roadmap and research needs. It involves structuring and negotiating large-scale agreements with cloud providers, influencing supplier roadmaps, and optimizing cloud spend.

What you'd actually do

  1. Structure, negotiate, and execute complex, high-value commercial agreements for large-scale AI cloud capacity; drive and own master supply agreements
  2. Influence supplier roadmaps, business models, and capacity commitments
  3. Translate AI research and product needs into a clear cloud computing capacity sourcing roadmap
  4. Identify risks and develop supply optionality by identifying and qualifying new cloud and technology sources
  5. Analyze and optimize global cloud spend for maximum efficiency and savings

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical or business field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 10+ years of business, partnerships, sourcing, or supply chain experience in data center, cloud services, compute, or AI/system hardware supply chains and adjacent industries
  • Proven track record of structuring and negotiating large-scale, complex commercial agreements with major technology or cloud suppliers
  • Direct experience partnering with C-suite executives and leaders at top cloud and technology partners
  • In-depth understanding of "should cost" economics and make-vs-buy trade-offs for the cloud
  • Experience in AI products and technologies, such as AI models, use cases, and systems
  • Demonstrated ability to move seamlessly from strategy to execution
  • Experience influencing, negotiating, building consensus, and making strategic decisions
  • Experience operating in fast-paced, ambiguous, cross-functional environments requiring independent judgment while coordinating people and technical resources
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • 15+ years of experience in sourcing, partnerships, or supply chain management, including leadership experience
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • M.S. or M.B.A. degree in a relevant field
