What you'd actually do

  1. Support the achievement of sales targets by developing and maintaining a healthy pipeline and guiding public sector customers through end-to-end sales cycles, from discovery through to agreement — including RFP/RFT responses and panel arrangements where applicable.
  2. Create detailed account plans and territory strategies in partnership with internal teams, while maintaining accurate forecasting using CRM tools.
  3. Collaborate with customers to identify and qualify high-impact AI use cases aligned to their agency or institutional priorities, policy objectives, and citizen/community outcomes.

Skills

Required

  • Experience in generating new opportunities with strong focus on pipeline tracking and deal execution through entire sales cycle
  • Experience in written and verbal communication with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to executives and non-technical leaders
  • Experience engaging and influencing senior executives, demonstrating a strong familiarity with decision-making processes in enterprise customers
  • 10+ years of Information Technology (IT) experience

Nice to have

  • Experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics or natural language processing, or experience in developing and deploying LLMs in production on GPUs, Neuron, TPU or other AI acceleration hardware
  • Experience in the public sector
  • Experience with technology platform sales with an understanding of government IT, data centers, cloud services and cloud adoption
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, machine learning, engineering, or related fields, or Bachelor's degree
  • Understanding of Australian Government security and compliance frameworks (e.g. ISM, PSPF, IRAP) and data sovereignty requirements
  • Familiarity with responsible AI governance frameworks relevant to public sector (e.g. Australian Government AI Ethics Principles)
  • Experience engaging senior government executives (SES-band and above) and translating technology outcomes into policy and citizen-impact language
  • Experience in Services Delivery of critical infrastructure, ERP, Outsourcing, AI implementation
