Principal AI Specialist Sales

This role is for a Senior AI Specialist Sales professional at AWS, focused on driving the adoption of AWS's AI services by customers in Korea. The role involves understanding customer goals, translating AI capabilities into business value, and guiding customers through AI adoption journeys. It requires strong technical AI knowledge combined with sales and customer-facing skills, partnering with customers from C-suite to technical architects.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support the achievement of sales targets by developing and maintaining a healthy pipeline and guiding customers through end-to-end sales cycles, from discovery through agreement
  2. Act as a trusted advisor on AWS GenAI and Agentic AI services, helping customers understand potential outcomes, value, and return on investment
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers and executive stakeholders through a consultative, collaborative approach
  4. Lead technical discovery sessions and contribute to demonstrations, proofs of concept, and solution design, including model selection, fine-tuning, and deployment approaches
  5. Engage C-suite executives to drive AWS AI services adoption: CEOs (business transformation), CTOs/CAIOs (technical architecture), CFOs (ROI models), line of business owners (use cases). Lead AI-focussed Executive Briefing Centers, board presentations, and strategic planning workshops.

Skills

Required

  • 10+ years of experience in technology roles, including technical or solution-oriented sales
  • demonstrated history of contributing to revenue goals
  • Experience supporting complex, multi-stakeholder sales engagements and managing pipelines with a focus on accuracy and transparency
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics in a clear, engaging way for both technical and executive audiences

Nice to have

  • Experience working with Generative AI technologies, including foundation models, LLMs, or autonomous agent frameworks
  • Exposure to AI model development, fine-tuning, or production deployment
  • Familiarity with prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architectures, fine-tuning techniques, and AI deployment patterns
  • Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or a related field
