This role is for a Principal Analog Design Engineer at Northrop Grumman, focusing on the design, analysis, and verification of analog circuits for new product development. Responsibilities include system and subsystem requirements analysis, conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design, circuit modeling, simulation, and signal/power integrity analysis for PCB designs. The role requires experience with schematic capture tools and circuit testing, and a Secret clearance is mandatory.

What you'd actually do

  1. Under minimum supervision, perform analog circuit design and analysis to support development of new product.
  2. Design tasks include system level requirements analysis, subsystem level requirements development, conceptual design, preliminary design, and detailed design through design verification and characterization.
  3. Analysis tasks include circuit modeling, simulation and analysis as well as signal and power integrity analyses on PCB design.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience, a Master’s degree with 3 years of experience or a Ph.D. with 0 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical fields
  • Prior experience in Analog circuit design, modeling, and simulation
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Ability to obtain or maintain and US Government Secret Security Clearance
  • Experience with schematic capture in Mentor Xpedition, Cadence, or Altium Designer
  • Experience with circuit and sub-system test and troubleshooting
  • Ability to work onsite full-time in Woodland Hills, CA

  • Experience with Printed Circuit Board design using Mentor Xpedition Designer and AMS
  • Experience with HyperLynx Signal and Power Integrity analyses
  • PSpice circuit design analyses
  • Experience Design verification and test
  • MSEE with emphasis in Analog Circuit Design
