  3. Identify modernization opportunities such as decomposition, platform consolidation, cloud/hybrid adoption, resiliency, observability, and data lineage.
  4. Incorporate emerging AI capabilities responsibly—domain-aware copilots/assistants, intelligent document processing, and decisioning support—while addressing governance, model risk, privacy, and security requirements.
  5. Translate business strategy into architectural decisions, sequencing, and investment trade-offs.
