Principal Associate, Project Management - Daas Acquisitions Delivery Team (hybrid)

This role is a Project Manager within Capital One's DaaS Acquisitions Delivery Team. The primary focus is on managing project plans, identifying risks, and bringing new products to market. It involves building and documenting requirements, developing process documentation, performing quality assurance, and managing communications. The role requires strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills, with experience in project management and operations support. While the company is in the financial services industry, the role itself is not directly AI/ML development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Build, understand, and document requirements to help guide users through a new product lifecycle
  2. Develop and maintain process documentation and drive continuous process improvements
  3. Perform quality assurance checks on actions taken to ensure accuracy
  4. Serve as subject matter expert to outside resources and facilitate education and training
  5. Assist in the development of mitigation plans and monitors the progression of findings against their mitigation plans to ensure timely closure

Skills

Required

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
  • At least 2 years of Project Management experience
  • At least 2 years of Operations support experience
  • At least 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office or Google Suite
  • The ability to problem-solve and manage work autonomously
  • Have strong organizational skills
  • Be detail-oriented
  • The ability to effectively communicate to stakeholders across different areas
  • Be a team player with proven ability to collaborate and build relationships
  • Actively seek out customers and contributors, building relationships so that they understand why we need them and how we help them
  • Understand and know when to escalate and what information to include

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
  • 3+ years of experience in Operations Management
  • 3+ years of experience in the Financial Services industry
  • 1+ years of People management experience
  • Lean, Agile, Six Sigma, Business Process Management, or Project Management certification
  • Strong communication, problem solving and collaboration skills
