Principal Business Technology Product Manager

Samsara Samsara · Enterprise · TX · Remote · Business Systems

Product Manager role focused on building internal tools and AI-assisted workflows for the Go-To-Market Systems team, specifically for sales execution. The role involves owning the roadmap for seller-facing quoting, approvals, and opportunity workflows, with a strong emphasis on hands-on building and iterating using modern AI tools. The goal is to make sellers faster, more accurate, and more confident.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own the roadmap for seller-facing quoting, approvals, and opportunity workflows across Salesforce and CPQ — turning ambiguous go-to-market problems into shipped solutions with clear, measurable outcomes.
  2. Discover and prioritize ruthlessly: partner deeply with Sales, Deal Desk, and Finance to find the highest-leverage problems, define what success looks like, and decide what _not_ to build.
  3. Build, don’t just spec: create clickable prototypes, stand up your own dashboards and data models, and ship internal tools and AI-assisted workflows — with engineering partnering to harden them for scale.
  4. Own what you ship as a living product: instrument adoption, track usage and business impact, and iterate — treating internal tools and agents with the same rigor as a customer-facing product.
  5. Use modern AI tools as a core part of how you work — from first-draft requirements and analysis to prototyping and building — raising your own leverage and the team’s.

Skills

Required

  • 10+ years of product management capacity (or equivalent experience building and owning enterprise software or internal tools), with ownership of a product domain and a track record of shipping.
  • Experience with go-to-market or revenue systems — Salesforce (CRM), CPQ/quoting, or adjacent sales / revenue-operations tooling.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business problems into clear requirements and measurable product outcomes.
  • Hands-on comfort building with modern AI tools — you’re excited to prototype and build yourself, not only to delegate.
  • Strong stakeholder management across Sales, Finance, and Engineering.

Nice to have

  • The ability to build real artifacts directly — clickable prototypes, SQL-backed dashboards, or working POCs — without waiting in a dev queue.
  • Experience building or operating AI agents/assistants in production (adoption, evals, iteration, rollback).
  • Deep Salesforce / CPQ domain expertise (quote-to-cash, approvals, opportunity management).
  • Familiarity with automation platforms (e.g., Workato) and hands-on data skills (SQL).
  • A track record of driving real adoption of internal tools, not just launching them.
