Principal Calibration Technician (two Positions)

This role is for a Principal Calibration Technician at Johnson & Johnson, responsible for performing calibration activities on inspection, measuring, and test equipment. The technician will maintain calibration records, participate in procedure development, and ensure compliance with safety and company policies. The role requires experience in calibration systems and knowledge of metrology, with preferred skills in various maintenance and operational areas.

What you'd actually do

  1. Calibrates, maintains, and safeguards inspection, measuring, test equipment (IM&TE) and software according to guidelines and procedures.
  2. Participates in the development and maintenance of written calibration procedures.
  3. Maintains calibration records for IM&TE.
  4. Development and maintenance of written calibration procedures (for senior)
  5. Generates NCR’s according to local procedures. (for senior)

Skills

Required

  • Technical Career Studies or equivalent applicable to the area: Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, Electronics, Metrology, Instrumentalist.
  • 6 to 8 years of experience in related fields.
  • One-year experience in calibration system required (for senior and upper levels).
  • NCR system knowledge required

Nice to have

  • Metrology certification preferred
  • BS Degree in progress.
  • Bilingual: English/ Spanish preferred
  • GMP/ ISO knowledge preferred
  • Knowledge of electronic, pneumatic and electrical systems preferred
  • eMarket Place / JD system knowledge preferred.
  • PC literate preferred
  • Maximo System Knowledge preferred.
