Principal Configuration Analyst responsible for managing configuration management, engineering releases, and Bill-of-Material (BOM) for aerospace systems, specifically the F-35 program. Requires experience in configuration/project management and ability to obtain security clearances.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support Program tasks and attend meetings.
  2. Maintain Configuration Management Command Media, Work Instructions and perform updates as required.
  3. Perform CDM metrics on a recurring basis and support Program prep meetings.
  4. Engineering Release activities for the F-35 Composite Structure Definition IPT. This includes Build-To-Package (BTP), Source Control Drawings (SCD), Tech Packages, Engineering Schedule Change Record (ESCR) approvals.
  5. Creation of the BTP, SCD, Tech packages and associated supporting engineering business items and data, BTP/SCD Lifecycle (workflow) execution, approval and formal engineering release.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of related military / professional experience OR a Master's degree with at least 3 years of related military / professional experience OR a Ph.D. with at least 1 year of related military / professional experience
  • Previous experience working in a configuration/project management capacity
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret or higher clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance

Nice to have

  • Experience with Lean concepts
  • Experience managing change boards or performing configuration management
  • Experience with Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing and Test documentation
  • Knowledge of EIA-649, National Consensus Standard for Configuration Management
  • An existing DoD security clearance Secret or above
  • Government Contracts experience
