Principal Configuration Analyst (oklahoma City)

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Configuration Analyst to manage configuration management activities, including planning, identification, change management, status accounting, and verification/audit. The role involves coordinating project documentation, analyzing design changes, and supporting program configuration and data management requirements. Requires a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience or equivalent and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Plan and coordinate preparation of project documentation, such as engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications, to ensure customer contract requirements are met.
  2. Review contract to determine documentation required for each phase of project, applying knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes.
  3. Analyze proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system.
  4. Coordinate modification records for management control. Establishes change orders and prepares for change authorization and documentation by company and subcontractor.
  5. Review and analyze released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities. Support program configuration and data management requirements.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related professional/military experience, or Master's degree and 3 years of related professional/military experience, or Ph.D. and 1 year of related professional/military experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) clearance

  • Ability to apply principles of a Configuration Management Plan (CMP)

  • Experience working in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Material Requirements Planning tool (MRP) (i.e. Deltek, Oracle, SAP, etc.)
  • Experience following documented rules and guidelines to ensure technical content meets internal and customer requirements.
