Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Configuration Analyst to plan and coordinate project documentation, analyze design changes, and manage configuration control processes in complex, multi-site environments. The role requires experience with large-scale software implementations, leading configuration-control processes, and an active Secret DoD Clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Plans and coordinates preparation of project documentation, such as engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications, to ensure customer contract requirements are met.
  2. Reviews contract to determine documentation required for each phase of project, applying knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes.
  3. Analyzes proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system.
  4. Coordinates modification records for management control.
  5. Establishes change orders and prepares for change authorization and documentation by company and subcontractor.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of experience; 3 years with Master's degree; or additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Experience with large-scale ERO, PLM, or enterprise software implementations
  • Proven track record of leading configuration-control processes in complex, multi-site environments
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple configuration initiatives simultaneously
  • Active Secret DoD Clearance

Nice to have

  • Experience developing Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) in an Agile Environment
  • Understanding of configuration management principles / best practices to include management of contract and supplier data
  • Working knowledge and understanding of engineering documentation (i.e. models, drawings, specifications, parts, change notices, manufacturing plans, and manufacturing procedures)
  • Experience working in a configuration management product life cycle system (i.e., Teamcenter Unified, etc.)
  • Experience working in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Material Requirements Planning tool (MRP)
  • Experience with JIRA/Confluence.
