Principal Consultant - Microbiology

Seeking an experienced Principal Consultant for Oracle Health's Microbiology solutions, focusing on implementation and support within Federal agencies like the Department of Defense and Veterans Affairs. What you'd actually do

  1. Consult with clients on service line workflow, and guide them through interdependencies and design decision impacts.
  2. Provide solution oversight, direction and expertise to stakeholders.
  3. Drive client-specific solution configuration design to meet workflow requirements and make recommendations to clients.
  4. Mitigate solution risks and issues.
  5. Execute workflow and process improvement strategies.

Skills

Required

  • At least 5 years total combined related work experience
  • At least 2 years healthcare information technology (HCIT) consulting, HCIT support and/or other client-facing or information technology (IT) solution work experience
  • 3+ years of overall experience in relevant functional or technical roles including knowledge and experience with the Oracle Health Microbiology product(s). Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus.
  • Backend build experience in Microbiology or other related laboratory areas.
  • Experience in any of the following: Microbiology, discern analytics, operations jobs, Bedrock, PathNet, rules, Cerner Command Language (CCL), laboratory interfaces, reference laboratory, organism hierarchy, State organism reporting.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with team members and clients.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-starter capable of independently handling tasks and projects.
  • U.S. citizenship required due to client contracts and must be based on U.S. soil.
  • Must be able to obtain the appropriate government security clearance card applicable to your position.

Nice to have

  • Willing to travel up to 50% as needed.
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations.
