Principal Coordinator -time & Labor Specialist

This role is a Time & Labor Specialist focused on ensuring accurate time entries and inputs to payroll processing, with a strong emphasis on associate experience. Responsibilities include updating time entries, inspecting system output for errors, reaching out to associates, assisting other teams with payroll system accuracy, handling inquiries, performing audits, and assisting with W2 reporting. Basic qualifications include a High School Diploma and experience with Google Suite. Preferred qualifications include an Associate degree, payroll/benefits experience, and experience with Workday Time Tracking.

What you'd actually do

  1. Performs daily tasks related to updating associates’ time entries and processing of time entries.
  2. Inspects automated system output for errors and makes necessary corrections to time entries in the system.
  3. Reaches out to associates to ensure their time is entered/ updated in the system before the deadline.
  4. Assists other Capital One teams as required, to resolve errors and maintain or update accurate information in the payroll system.
  5. Assists the Tier I contact center representatives in handling and following up on inquiries related to time entry:

Skills

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience handling customer inquiries with a focus on associate experience
  • 6 months of prior experience working with Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets and Drive)

Nice to have

  • Associate degree
  • Professional certification such as FPC or CPP
  • 1-2 years of previous accounting/ payroll/ benefits experience
  • Experience with Workday Time Tracking
  • Experience with case management systems
  • Demonstrated customer service skills, attention to detail and decision-making skills.
