Principal Core Infrastructure Engineer to join the Access Control Ecosystem team. This role involves leading the design, development, and operation of distributed infrastructure services for secure access management across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Responsibilities include defining scalable architectures, improving performance and resiliency, strengthening telemetry, driving automation for safe deployments, and mentoring engineers. The ideal candidate has strong distributed systems expertise and a track record of building secure, reliable cloud services at scale.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the design, development, and operation of scalable distributed infrastructure for OCI’s Access Control Ecosystem.
  2. Define scalability, performance, availability, and durability requirements for owned services and components.
  3. Build fault-tolerant systems that support redundancy, replication, automated failover, and in-service upgrades.
  4. Optimize services for high-throughput, low-latency, and large-scale cloud workloads.
  5. Design systems that handle network unreliability, service disruptions, and partition scenarios while meeting SLOs.
